Management
We provide emergency shelter management services at the Kids Kottage campus for the Washoe County Human Services Agency in Reno, Nevada. Kids Kottage serves youth between the ages of infant and 18. We offer coverage for neglected, abandoned and abused minor children 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays.

Shelter Operations
- Manages engaging residential programs that meet the day-to-day physical, nutritional, emotional, educational, recreational, developmental, and other growth needs of children
- Collaborates with mental health providers to provide mental health and rehabilitation services to children in program
- Develops dynamic weekday, weekend, and school-holiday programs to appeal to the diverse ages of children in each of the programs
Shelter Staffing and Training
- Implements thorough background checks to recruit quality shelter employees
- Provide comprehensive staff training on operational policies and procedures, including courses in:
- First Aid and CPR
- Infectious Disease Control
- Child Development
- Infant Care
- Adolescent Behavior
- “Age-Appropriate Discipline”
- Child Abuse And Neglect Dynamics and Reporting Requirements
- Caring For LGTBQ Youth
- Effects of Childhood Trauma
